1. What dog training services do you offer?
We offer a range of training services, including:
Obedience Training: From basic commands to advanced off-leash skills.
Behavior Modification: Addressing anxiety, reactivity, counter surfing, and more.
Puppy Training: Essential basic commands for puppies.
Private Sessions: One-on-one training for specific needs and behaviors.
Board & Train: A 14-day program to establish obedience or address behaviors.
Refresher Courses: For past clients to maintain progress after initial training.
Each program is tailored to your dog’s needs based on age, breed, and personality.
2. How long does dog training take?
Our standard programs are scheduled for 5 weeks. For dogs under 5 months, the program is extended to 10 weeks to allow for a week between sessions, improving learning capacity in younger dogs. Afterward, you can discuss next steps with your trainer to maintain and grow your dog's skills.
3. Are your training methods safe and effective?
Yes! We employ a balanced training approach, combining positive reinforcement with appropriate corrections to ensure lasting behavioral changes without confusion or fear. This approach has successfully followed behind failed attempts with training with only treats or a clicker method for dogs that may require a bit firmer direction. This is particularly true for behavioral cases.
4. How do I schedule a consultation or session?
Booking is easy! Schedule a FREE consultation by clicking "Book a Consult" on our homepage. We offer both in-person (required for board and train) and virtual consultations.
5. How much does dog training cost?
Private Sessions: 5 sessions for $650 (50 minutes each). This pricing allows one-on-one training that is catered to you and your dog as well as ongoing email support throughout the week. 💵 Cash/Check Discount: If you pay by cash/check, the total cost is $625.
Board & Train: $2,500 for 14 days, including two go-home sessions and ongoing support. This option is appropriate for families with busy schedules that may need help establishing baseline obedience before taking over at home.
6. Do you offer group training classes?
The short answer is no; we do not. We understand that group training can offer a slightly more economical approach, but there are some pretty poignant drawbacks as well. Clients that have elected to join group training before hiring us sited that the environment was “distracting” and “not catered to our needs”. Group classes are also not an appropriate environment for reactive dogs, which our facility trains fairly often.
